Workshop Seminar on Service Provision for Japanese Tourism
Project Organizer
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)
Rationale and Principle
The project, “Workshop Seminar on Service Provision for Japanese Tourism”, is undertaken by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) due to the awareness of the importance of maintaining Japan market. Previously, TAT has cooperated with the ASEAN JAPAN CENTRE, whose head office is in Japan, to organize the “Seminar on Japanese Tourism” since 1982. The seminar has been regularly held both in Bangkok and other provinces, especially, those which have many important attractions, with the purposes of giving knowledge to tourism industry entrepreneurs to contribute to their quality development of the services provided for Japanese tourists.
The project is focusing on the Japanese market, with an aim to strengthen the service potentiality, and to develop the efficiency of tourism industry personnel, particularly those engaged in providing services to Japanese tourists. It also helps assure visitors of the Thailand brand, maintain the market base, and raise the country to be the Tourism Capital of Asia.
The seminar comprises lectures on Japanese international outbound travel trends and quality service provision to Japanese tourists. After that, there will be a group discussion to brainstorm and present ideas. Furthermore, TAT also invites Japanese guest speakers to give lectures based on their own knowledge and direct experiences about Japan’s tourism.
